What is fenugreek?
Well, it's a plant whose leaves have three lobes. It is common in the cuisine of India and Southeast Asia.
Some Indian curries use fenugreek. It is also used in Turkish, and Persian cuisine. All is all it's a versatile herb. Its seeds can be ground into a powder.
Archaeologists believe that fenugreek was first cultivated in the Near East. Other cultures like the Romans flavored a certain wine with fenugreek. It was also known to the Jews who cultivated it as a staple crop. Seeds have also been found in the tomb of Tutankhamen.
