Zatar is a delicious blend of spices that is typical in Middle Eastern food. There are a couple of kinds: green which is made with oregano, thyme, and white sesame seeds. The reddish kind is made with sumac, thyme, oregano, and sesame seeds.
Both kinds are delicious. One of the best ways in which to enjoy either kind of zatar is mixed with olive oil, and then dipping pita bread in it.
To add ethnic flair to your dinner, drizzle a rotisserie chicken with olive oil. Then generously sprinkle with this wonderful spice blend. Roast in the oven. So simple, and so delicious.
