Easy Tomatillo Avocado Salsa Verde Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 12 Tomatillos fresh
  • 1 White onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 Serrano chiles minced
  • ½ Cup Cilantro fresh, chopped
  • 1 Avocado diced
  • 2 Limes juiced
  • 1 tsp Olive oil extra virgin
  • ½ tsp Salt add to taste
  • ½ tsp Sugar add to taste

Instructions

  •  Place the tomatillos into a bowl of warm water in batches to remove the husks. Soak for a few minutes and the husk will be much easier to remove.
  • Slice the tomatillos into quarters and place into the bowl of food processor.
  • Pulse the tomatillos in the food processor until you have a coarse puree.
  • Pour the tomatillos into a large serving bowl, add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Add olive oil, salt and sugar to taste.
