- 12 Tomatillos fresh
- 1 White onion diced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 Serrano chiles minced
- ½ Cup Cilantro fresh, chopped
- 1 Avocado diced
- 2 Limes juiced
- 1 tsp Olive oil extra virgin
- ½ tsp Salt add to taste
- ½ tsp Sugar add to taste
Place the tomatillos into a bowl of warm water in batches to remove the husks. Soak for a few minutes and the husk will be much easier to remove.
Slice the tomatillos into quarters and place into the bowl of food processor.
Pulse the tomatillos in the food processor until you have a coarse puree.
Pour the tomatillos into a large serving bowl, add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Add olive oil, salt and sugar to taste.
