Swedish
Swedish food is so delicious in its own right. Meat dishes are usually served with lingonberries, as well as pancakes,. Overall, the Swedish diet is healthy. It's high in whole grains, omega-3's and other proteins.
Swedish cuisine developed in a harsh climate so availability of ingredients determined initially what would be made. But this does not mean that there are only a few choices. There are so many recipes, each one more delicious than the previous one.
I do have quite a few recipes for you to look at such as the decadent Swedish dessert known as Tussenbladstarta, or Skolleboller.
My friend from Sweden has shown me other recipes that I will be trying out very soon. One of them deals with elderflower liqueur, and of course I have to get her mom's recipe for meatballs.
Of course, salmon and dill are always present at a party, as well as pickled herring and many more delightful dishes.
Stay tuned because there are many more Swedish recipes coming to this blog.
