    curry

Curry is not a spice in and of itself, but a blend of spices that is typical of Indian, Southeast Asian, and East Asian cuisines. The British imported it to England after their colonization of India.

The blend is different throughout all of these regions, and even throughout India. You can create your own curry blend and adapt it to your palate and that of your family.

However, there are some key ingredients that appear throughout most blends: cumin and turmeric (for the bright yellow appearance). If you want to try your hand at making your own curry, you can start with my very own blend. And for a great recipe, check this one out.
