In short, these are the basic ingredients: anchovies, tamarind, molasses, vinegar, chilies, sugar, cloves, shallots. The proportions are anyone's guess since the actual recipe is a closely guarded secret.
The original Worcestershire sauce was sold in the UK under the brand name: Lea & Perrins. This brand is also sold in the US, but the proportion of ingredients is not the same. The product sold in the US is saltier, and sweeter than its British counterpart.
