Vietnamese
Vietnamese food is made up of flavor contrasts and fresh ingredients. Herbs like mint and cilantro are popular. Spicy accents like chili garlic sauce are part of everyday meals. The flavors are a feast for the taste buds. I find Vietnamese recipes and food culture fascinating and look forward to continually add more to this category.
Vietnamese food is amazingly diverse, not to mention delicious. Fresh ingredients, spicy accents, soups, and exotic ingredients make Vietnamese cuisine incredibly delightful, and healthy. Their food is regional, and always infused with a French influence. This comes as no surprise since the French were in Vietnam for 100 years or so. I find Vietnamese recipes and food culture to be fascinating and look forward to continually add more to this category.
I've included a smattering of Vietnamese recipes which include coconut braised pork and bun cha. I've also included the cooking class my family and I took with my daughter's Vietnamese friend.
Stay tuned because pho, the typical Vietnamese soup, egg coffee and maybe some desserts will soon be coming to this site.
